Entity fault_plane_orientation

• The entity which orients a structural body with respect to the vector properties of a fault, such as the fault separation and fault slip displacement lengths.

ref_fault_side                            MU      ref_fault_side

                                          Classification of the "sides" of a fault plane.
                                          The "hanging wall" identifies the down thrown
                                          side of a normal fault or the up thrown side of
                                          a reverse fault. The faults with no vertical component,
                                          the orientation is not meaningful. 

earth_position_face                       U       earth_position_face

                                          Reference to the fault plane about which orientation
                                          is being described. 

earth_position_region                             earth_position_region

                                          Reference to the geologic structure which faces
                                          the fault plane at the described orientation.
